With their high average attendance and passionate fans, the Bundesliga is a league that has been capturing people’s imagination for years. Football in Germany means something very specific- it’s about more than just cheering on your team–it comes with an unmatched level of engagement between supporter and club alike!

The German Football League has signed a sponsorship deal with Sorare, which will see them sponsor the top two divisions of football in Germany until the 2022/23 season.

The Sorare platform is taking fantasy football to the next level by utilising non-fungible tokens (NFTs) for digital player cards. These virtual teams will be available on their marketplace later this October, just in time for Bundesliga season!

From 2022, the Sorare League will also publish Bundesliga NFT-based videos from their two leagues -known as “Moments” which can be collected and played in your fantasy football game.

NFTs are a digital technology of the future that should not be underestimated – especially in the sport sector. I am therefore convinced that this collaboration will give rise to further impulses.
