The club has teamed up with American tech company YellowHeart to explore the use of blockchain-based ticketing for fans.

The idea of using blockchain to ticket sales for European football club is not new, but it’s one the first time this has been done through an English team.

The partnership with Yellowheart – a NFT marketplace that features music and ticketing options- allows Burnley fans access their tickets securely on any device, s well as engaging and connecting with fans through NFTs.

The exploration of NFTs is continuing the introduction of new technology at Turf Moor since the club was acquired by US sports investment firm ALK Capital.

This year, YellowHeart launched its NFT marketplace and powered historic moments for music lovers everywhere. In March 2021 they worked with Kings of Leon to present the first ever album release that used cryptocurrency as its payment method!

The fan experience is at the core of everything we do and it’s our mission to help people engage and connect with the things they love.
